I was surveying some photos online today.. someone with a fairly "famous" blog who takes a lot of photos. The photos are just beautiful! But they remind me of so many celebrities in movies, they are so fake. There is so much work done "behind the scenes" on PaintShop that the picture you're looking at isn't the actual subject. It bothers me a bit because it leaves me feeling like I can't trust the photo. Are the subject's eyes really that blue? Is the skin really that smooth? Is the light really shining through like that? Probably not. Sigh. It's art, but is it photography? I suppose it must be, but it still bothers me. I like to trust things I see. Shouldn't there be separate categories of photography? Edited and SOOC? No matter the added beauty, I will always prefer SOOC. It just seems more honest. ;)

Or maybe I'm just jealous of all the mad PaintShop talent?
