Dedication

You know, I have wanted to make my living with animals, and build my life around animals, for as long as I have wanted anything. And I don't feel any differently than that now. I haven't changed my mind in the least. However, I am at that stage, where, frankly, animals are a big pain in the butt.
Yep I'm talking about YOU, Cassey. Cassey is Shane's 9+ yr old Rottweiler. She is a pain in the butt. She is obsessive compulsive (I'm really not kidding about her being a pain in the butt). She licks her leg. She has licked her leg obsessive compulsively for so many years now that she has scar tissue two inches thick around her ankle area on her right front leg. This wound is in a CONSTANT state of dripping blood. And there is no way to stop her. We have taken her to vets, we have wrapped the leg up, we have put those cone collars on her. She can get through anything to get at that leg. And she will. She is crazy. And she's a pain in the butt.
So here's to you, Cassey. For teaching me daily to love animals through the thick & thin.
