a gallagher tale ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nashville Zoo We went to the zoo yesterday for lack of anything else to do. It was hot and Zane missed his nap, but we had a pretty good time. Best of all was coming across this tree, and turning around to look for Zane only to find him practicing various poses on and about this tree. Shane looked at these photos and accused Zane of being a Chippendale in training.
We also saw some animals. But they weren't nearly as entertaining. Late last night Shane & I deserted Zane to his Nana and snuck out for a few hours. We headed to Dickson to catch a late movie. We ended up seeing 3:10 to Yuma. I was a little concerned because the previews before the movie were all for really scary and/or gory movies. I turned to Shane and said "Is this a scary movie?" And he answered, "I don't know, what is it rated?" I told him R and he looked at me in surprise, "Why would you take me to an R movie?!" Oh that guy. But it turned out not to be scary or gory. It was a little suspensefull to me because I kept trying to guess what was going to happen. And it was gory by my standards in parts (I had to cover my eyes here & there), but nothing too shocking. I ended up crying at the end (can't be helped, I'm a woman). But I enjoyed it, I thought it was good movie. Probably too sad to see again, though. ;) The photos from yesterday look grainy to me and that bothers me. The power company guy comes today to approve the path Shane cleared this week to put the poles in. I hope he approves it, but he seems very very picky and already denied it once. He also keeps telling Shane he has to cut down the trees on the other side of the road, which is just silly. We don't own that property, we have no right to cut down someone else's trees for our power lines! That is clearly something only the power company has the legal right to do. I think he just doesn't want to bother so he is trying to con Shane into doing it. But it ain't going to happen. Shane turns in his excavator tomorrow. Maybe then I'll be able to see him every once in a while again. Hoping to get to the state fair later this week, too. We have had so much rain lately I have not been able to see my horses! But today, I will! I will! 1:25 p.m. - Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today is Sunday November 18th - Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007 |
