Spurt Update

Honestly, my life is so crazy that I would have to update you three times a day (AT LEAST) to keep you on track with me. So, since I obviously don't do anything of that nature, you're way behind the times. I'll try to catch you up a bit.

Remember a while back when I told you I sold Amauvia and bought a new horse, Peaches? Well, it ended up, this didn't happen. I was a little precipitous, and when I went to sign over Amauvia's papers, my hands froze and I couldn't bring myself to do it. So instead I called Judi and told her not to sell her. I spent a lot of time and energy and finally found a transport company to haul her to Tennessee for me. She arrives on Sunday! (Aug 26th)

So, to sum all that up, now I have two horses. Peaches & Amauvia.
And as if that isn't enough, I did some little googling and found Amauvia's half-brother, Muad, who is also for sale.

I wrote to Muad's owner, who is also Amauvia's breeder, and he sent me all these nice little baby pictures of Amauvia, after I told him I also own her.

He also gave me a good deal on Muad because I have Amauvia. He also sent me a video of Muad in training under saddle, and he is just gorgeous. Unfortunately, after all this transport stuff with Amauvia, and buying Peaches, I can't afford to buy Muad right now. Bummer.

And then, in other news, Shane & I have been mostly on the road for work since October of last year, with only a few weeks break. So we are really really burnt out and really want to go home and hide out on our hundred acre wood. So, basically, Shane quit. And then, just as we were mourning the state of our bank account without employment, Pilot calls us! Hallelujah!

Unfortunately, Shane missed their call. As a matter of fact, it was two days later when he finally even listened to their message. They had wanted to send us to Madison, WI. But they filled the position.

Poop.

But, lo, we were not forsaken.

They called back five minutes later and told us they could use our assistance in Rochester, MN.

So here we are, heading to Rochester! With gainful employment looming!

Of course, there is still the trouble of being burnt out. But at least this is a change of pace. The job is better and it pays just as well, if not better. That depends on us. Also, the direct deposit goes into my bank account, mwahaha! All this time I've been getting a measly pittance every week while Shane gets the big bucks; finally, the big bucks are mine!

But of course it's technically "our" bank account... with joint access... It's only his bank account I don't have access to... unless you count online purchases >;)

Now remember, I am going to actually be working from now on, so I probably will actually have LESS time for my pretty little diary here. But I will TRY to update a little better than these fits & starts, when necessary. Hopefully our lives will calm down for a little while.
